Join us for this fast paced insightful talk, which will be followed by a short insight into the valuable work being done by St Michael’s Hospice. Helen Forster from Winston Solicitors will talk about inheriting property. In particular, Helen will be focus on the procedure following a death, including who will be responsible for maintaining the property during the sale or transfer process. She will cover both inheritance tax and capital gains tax issues surrounding the ownership of second properties, plus the new inheritance tax “residence nil rate band” introduced this year.

Alex Goldstein of Alex Goldstein Property Consultants will draw on over 15 years’ experience in property to give insight on the estate agency sector, explain how to engage with agents on the right terms, reveal how to get the best out of them and demystify the whole selling process. Most importantly, Alex will explain how to work the system in your favour so that you can avoid the most common and costly pitfalls.

Ake & Humphris will be hosting a wine tasting ‘Call My Bluff’ event towards the end of the evening too.
