Huge £1m Plus Property Sales Growth

There has been a 345% growth in £1m or more sales since the first half of 2009, when transactions in this market sector were at their lowest point of the last decade at 1,382 sales.

Interestingly there have been 6,143 £1m plus sales in the UK in the first half of 2014, which represents a 46% increase on the same period in 2013.

According to a survey from Lloyds Bank, multi-million pound homes sales are performing strongly with 1,360 homes sold for at least £2m in the first half of 2014.

7 out of 10 £1m plus sales were in London with nearly a quarter of these were in the prime property location of Kensington, Chelsea and Westminster. Edinburgh recorded the highest number of million-pound sales outside southern England.
